Christmas 2010

We were very fortunate to have the entire family home with us for Christmas this year. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. Everyone arrived on Saturday, December 18th. After spending a couple of days around home waiting for me to get off work, we left to spend several days at Whistler, British Columbia. We returned to Camano Island on Monday, December 27th.

We purchased a small Christmas tree to take with us on the trip. One of the primary considerations this year was size. We had to fit Christmas and personal belongings for eight people in the trunks of one mid-size and one small sedan.

There was fresh snow for our first two days, our last full day and the morning we left. It is alway so beautiful when one does not have to drive anywhere. It was fun to go out at night and try to capture some of the mood from the lights and the snow. This photo is from our apartment complex.

A small stream flows between the upper and the main villages. During the Christmas season, the bridge is lit with colored lights. We saw green, blue and red. Matt and I had some fun one night taking bridge pictures.

This picture was taken from that same bridge earlier in the day.

I am so grateful that we had this time together. My heart is full from the many blessings that I enjoy.
